This is what I am trying to submit

I/we defaulted on our Tesco card payment in September 2021, my wife had tidied up and put that month's statement away and I overlooked making the automated payment.
I know mistakes happen and there are consequences.
Dated the 8th of October (we received it on 13/10/21) we had a letter from Tesco Bank to say we had defaulted and there was an automatic charge of £12.00 as a late payment fee.
It also said that no interest would be charged on the first 28 days of the notice if the amounts are paid in full- the amount was £2571.91
We paid the settlement fee and the outstanding amount the same day
- 13th October 2021
When we had our statement for October for the amount of £5 114.82 which included an interest amount of £55.45.
I paid this (less £100- not wearing my reading glasses!!) on 29/10/21 - the remaining balance £2 430.91
Our next statement was £6 708.51 including the £100 shortfall from the previous month and £39.69 interest- I paid this in full
Our next statement which is due on 3rd January and will be paid on the 30th January 2021- there is also £50.47 interest included in this.
From what I can see for being 8 days late for a payment of £2571.91 We have been charged £145.61 in interest (admittedly there will be a token amount for the £100 I underpaid to come off that).
we have only ever missed one payment which was the month we moved to this house and you will be able to tell from your records how consistently we have kept our account upto date.
In this season of goodwill can you look into this please as I feel we have been heavily penalised for an oversight on our part.
