Paying cheque into a new 5 year fixed rate bond

Is it possible to pay a cheque into a new 5 year fixed rate bond to deposit funds? I do not have online banking so cannot carry out an online transfer from my existing account. Also, do I send the cheque in when making the application or do I have to wait until I receive the Tesco welcome pack with the account number of the fixed rate bond before I can send the cheque in? Does anyone know how long it takes for this pack to arrive? Many thanks for your help

Hi yes you certainly can fund your fixed rate saver by cheque. You will be asked how you want to fund the account during the application. You would need to wait until your documents arrive before sending this in because you will need to confirm your sortcode and account number on the cheque before sending that in. Once the application has been fully accepted, the documents should normally arrive in 3-5 business days. Hope this helps!
