Back 6 years ago I had 14 years NCD with Admiral.
Then my wife was offered a company car via NHS lease scheme, where the insurance was on that policy. Where I drove the car and was on the named drivers document.
After 6 1/2 years we are returning to getting our own insurance again.
What NCD do we start off as? 20, 6 or 0
I did a quote, based on the fact that insurance companies kind of "ignore" the 14 years previous and just take the 6 years.
Is that correct?
Hi @kevin33winter, this would depend on how the company displays the NCD on the document. If the document was in your name we would accept the number of years outlined on what the NHS insurers provide. We are only able to accept NCD that is less than 2 years old and this is why we may not be able to use your Admiral NCD. It may be worth querying this with your existing insurer to see what they're able to provide or give us a call on 0345 366 8631 so we can take some further details and confirm exactly what we can accept. Lines are open Mon - Fri: 8am - 9pm and Sat - Sun: 9am - 5pm. I hope this helps.
