Tesco Bank Home Insurance covers mobile phones and tablets for theft within the home (tablets are covered for accidental damage under home entertainment equipment cover as standard).
If you need your mobile covered for accidental damage when at home, you would need to add personal possession's cover (which includes cover for items away from the home) or add accidental damage to cover your mobiles in the home only.
You can add accidental damage to your policy via Your Insurance Account, which is available 24 hours a day. There will be no fee for making a change to your policy (when accepted via Your Insurance Account), but there will be an increase in premium for adding this to your policy.

Buildings - Buildings insurance covers the structure of your home, including drives and any outbuildings, as well as fixtures and fittings - these are things you don't take with you when you move home. Tesco Bank Buildings Insurance covers the rebuild cost of your home if it is damaged or destroyed. Value and Standard policies provide cover for up to £1million and all other polices provide unlimited cover. All our policies include cover for alternative accommodation and rent – the limits of this cover vary depending on the policy you hold. You will have to specify any items that you wear or carry outside of the home, that are individually worth over £2,000 - such as an engagement ring, watch or camera. You can cover 1 item worth £20,000 or a number of items up to that limit. By specifying an individual item, you’ll be covered for loss, theft and damage of these items anywhere in the UK (including in your home) and for up to 60 days when you're abroad.
If you’re a Value, Standard or Finest customer you need to tell us about any valuable item which is over the limits below. The Value policy automatically covers single items up to £1,500 each when in the home.
The Standard policy automatically covers single items up to £2,000 each when in the home.

For our Value, Standard and Finest policies - items in the garage or shed are covered up to the contents sum insured listed on your Policy Schedule.

If your bicycle is kept in an outbuilding, it is covered under the contents in your outbuildings cover, which has a limit of £5,000 for all items.
If you have Tesco Finest Home Insurance, bicycles away from the home are automatically covered up to £5,000 with a limit of £2,000 per bicycle.
Cover away from the home is anywhere in the UK including your home and up to 60 days when you’re abroad.

You can change your address 24 hours a day through Your Insurance Account.
All you need is your new postcode and house number, some information on the property such as what year it was built, type of building and construction type, then we can provide you with a quote.
If you go ahead and change your address via Your Insurance Account then no administration fee will be applied but your premium may change.
If you have our Tesco Finest policy, this includes cover for boiler breakdowns. For all other types of Tesco Bank policies, this can be added as an optional extra, called home emergency cover. You can add this to your policy via Your Insurance Account, which is available 24 hours a day.
Should you suffer a breakdown or failure of the central heating boiler within your home, then:
* we will organise an Engineer to come to your home * we will pay for the call-out, labour, parts, materials and VAT involved in repairing or remedying the breakdown and/or failure of the boiler * if a new part is required, we will endeavour to source it in the quickest time possible * if your boiler is beyond economic repair then we will pay an amount towards its replacement.
Damage caused by escape of water from your boiler or any water installation is covered under the home insurance policy itself.
