Yes. As your premium is based on the no claim discount (NCD) entered, we need to see proof that you are entitled to this discount.
We need you to provide proof of the number of years NCD you have claimed within 14 days of purchase of your original policy. The NCD proof must:
Be earned on a private car from an insurer authorised in the UK
Have been earned in your name as the policyholder
Be an original copy, written in English on company headed paper
Be earned on a policy that expired less than 2 years ago
Not being currently used to insure another vehicle
Sending us a copy of your renewal notice is fine. You can also usually request your previous insurer to supply a proof of NCD. If you can’t prove that you're entitled to this NCD when we ask you to, this may result in reduced settlement of a future claim or cancellation of your policy.
We do not distinguish between individual drivers, so it is important that anyone driving the car does so responsibly and safely and that they understand the impact their driving could have on your policy.
Your Portal will show you the information gathered by the box but will not broken down by each insured driver.
No - you will not have to pay any extra but if you cancel prior to the renewal date, cancellation charges will apply.

Unfortunately Box Insurance does not provide cover for vehicles that have been modified (other than by the manufacturer) unless for disabled use (such as hand controls, hoist, infrared controls, raised roof, tail lift, wheelchair clamps, straps, lift, ramp or winch).
You select a 6,000, 8,000 or 10,000 mile policy; there are no refunds for Policy Miles that are unused at the end of the period of policy cover and they do not 'roll over' to the next year's policy when you renew. If, at the end of the year, you have any remaining Top Up Miles or Bonus Miles then these will be rolled over to the following year and will be used first.
Social Domestic and Pleasure cover includes travel/commuting to and from your normal place of work or study and any voluntary work.
You can also add business use and/or commercial travelling for the policyholder and any named driver. This will cover the policyholder and any named driver whilst using the car in connection with their business and/or commercial travelling.

The box is made of black plastic and is about the size of a large mobile phone - it is shaped like one and even has a SIM card. The box is completely sealed and cannot be opened without triggering a tamper alert.
