Hi - I put in a claim five weeks ago and haven't had any further info. I received the dispute confirmation email straight after but was wondering if you had a time scale for this?

Hi everyone... my form has gone over six weeks without a response, and when I sent the private message I was told there were no updates on my account! I really don't think Tesco Bank is looking into our chargeback forms. I've made a formal complaint to Customer Relations and will be complaining to the Financial Ombudsman if I don't get a satisfactory response and I'd urge everyone else waiting to do the same. I've also given them a negative Trust Pilot review. I get Tesco are having a difficult time due to Covid, but other banks seem to be sorting this out a lot quicker and I think we are all being fobbed off.

I can assure you that our Disputes team are working through each dispute as quick as they can, however I'm afraid things are taking a bit longer than usual due to the current situation.

Hi - I am aware of that, however it's been almost 8 weeks since I sent my chargeback form and you've been telling customers six weeks max. Other people are experiencing the same issues and as I mentioned, people I know who have credit cards with other companies are getting their money back swiftly. Tesco seems to be hanging on to it and it's causing myself and others so much stress during this very difficult time. Mine didn't even have an update on it - if I'd not chased you I would never have got a response it seems. I really doubt it's being looked into at all.

Thanks for the advice . I’m also experiencing similar sort of problems and I was told that I would receive a text update regarding my case, however that was on Monday and it still hasn’t been received. If I still haven’t heard anything by the beginning of next week I will look to make a formal complaint as you have suggested and then take it to the ombudsman.

Tesco are totally ignoring customers frustrations and as several postings on this forum show, are still doing NOTHING about it. Many people like myself have had zero information and false assurances for more than 10 weeks (at least one person 14 weeks). This is completely unacceptable and the only way forward is for ALL unhappy customers to complain to the Financial Ombudsman. This is a very easy process completed online and was recommended in the weekly Martin Lewis mailshot with included link.
