Thanks CSKBrambles although I can't take all the credit. We did start the lounge/dining room project before the Coronavirus started. After some hickups along the way we finally got it completed. Well almost as I now want a new carpet, that'll have to wait a bit.Take care & warm wishes.

Thanks for replying. Yes I have found some paint but not the shade I wanted - Vast Lake. Even emailed Dulux direct but sadly they were not helpful at all. Will be buying Crown Paint in future!!!! Good luck with your painting. I've finished one bedroom including ceiling and skirting and am starting the bathroom next.

Thanks 25H, we did exactly the same thing here last spring ! but we also managed to get a cracking deal on the lounge carpet from Tapi Carpets. The business is run by Lord Phil Harris's son, all ex Carpetright staff, would highly recommend.

Morning Thanks for the heads up, I must admit I'd not heard of Tapi carpets, they're in the cities (I've checked them online). I have of course heard of Carpetright & have a store locally.Have a lovely day whatever your planning on doing

Thanks 25H ! I've known Phil Harris since 1986, when we first met at one of his new stores in Kent due to open the following weekend. He was fed up of being let down by his security contractor, and was interested in switching to someone new. I made the appointment with him, we got on like a house on fire, he trusted me, and awarded me the security contract for every Harveys and Carpetright store in the Country. I retained the contract until i retired in 2011, and we still keep in touch from time to time. His son Martin has enjoyed great success at Tapi since his Dad Phil stepped down in 2014. Have a great day !

I'm confident that you won't be disappointed 25H, it struck a chord when he learned that i was an ex guardsman. Here's a picture of me taken at Victoria Barracks Windsor in 1977. All the very best.
