I had a car accident late September last year (2017) to which Tesco's legal team put me in touch with Ageas Law to pursue a whiplash claim. Brief timelineAccident happened in Sept 2017Was medically assesed in Nov 2017Had 7 sessions of Physio (finishing in Jan 2018)Was told in Jan 2018 that all paperwork had been recieved and that the other side had admitted liability, the claim was now on the valuation stage. Contacted Ageas law in March 2018 for an update, was told i had a new claims handler.Contacted Ageas Law again in June 2018 for an update, was told i am now on my 3rd claim handler and they appologise for the delay.Contacted Ageas Law again in July 2018 and was told that the first claims handler had mislead me by saying all the paperwork was in order and i had to send further evidence in and once recieved we could move onto the valuation stage (which i was told started in Jan 2018) and also that my claim for loss of overtime might be a problem, even though every other claims company i have looked into state that loss of overtime can be claimed. Bearing in mind i have sent them 12 months worth of payslips prior to the accident as proof of overtime, yet legally they only need 3 months!Contacted Ages Law again 2 weeks ago and they are not even replying now. Having looked at reviews for Ageas Law i can see that they have some pretty shocking reviews! Why are Tesco reccommending Ageas Law to their customers?Do Ageas Law pay Tesco the best referal fee to gain tesco customers? Word of advise for anyone in the process of starting a claim that have Tesco Legal cover, DONT use Ageas Law, instead chose your own Specialist whiplash claims company, i wish i had!

Hi , I'm sorry to hear that. I've taken your comments as feedback and these will be passed on to our partners team.

Just as an update I have still not recieved a valuation on my claim, even though the valuation stage had started in Jan 2018. It would be nice to know if a formal complaint could be made on the lack of interest that Ages law has shown a customer who Tesco had refered to them. It would also be interesting to know, at what point a claimant could justify moving the claim onto another solicitor.

    Just looking
Good luck - I have been waiting almost 3 years to get my (what I believed) straightforward whiplash case with Ageas sorted and im still nowhere near the end. Due to their poor advice of being told I couldn't see my GP or arrange my own physio and being passed through multiple case handlers, their delay of over 18 months to even start arranging treatment I now have some serious nerve and mussel issues which could of been prevented if it wasn't for them. I am paying out a huge amount for treatment with no end in sight for getting this resolved through Ageas. Being passed to them caused nothing but stress, anxiety and at one point, put me in such a depressed state that I have ended up on medication to help cope. Please Tesco, stop referring people to them!!!

Really sorry to hear this @Alice456, and I completely understand your frustration over the length of time this has taken and the level of service you've received. I'm afraid to say we don't have access to Claims files here, so you will need to contact the Underwriter directly to discuss this further. If you send a private message to @Tesco-Bank, I'll be able to confirm the contact details for your particular Underwriter if you don't already have them.

    Hi @Alice456

I'm really sorry to hear this, it's absolutely appalling!!
The service or lack of it you've received, the advice given and the length of time is totally unacceptable.

I see ChristopherP has suggested you send Tesco Bank a private message and he will be able to confirm to you the Underwriters details.
To do this click on this link Tesco-Bank then scroll down, on the left hand side click 'Send Private Message'.
Complete it, click 'Submit Message' and this will send your message securely and privately.
Please include your full name, date of birth and postcode.
You will receive a reply to your private message with the promised details of your Underwriter.
    Hope this helps you.

    Warm wishes, Caz @25H
