My debit card was gobbled up by the cashpoint today. I've phoned up for a new card but need to withdraw money in the meantime. Can you withdraw money over the counter without your card? I was able to do this with my previous bank. Thanks Paul

I'm sorry to hear you've had your card retained. You can withdraw emergency cash at any store which has banking facilities. You can search our stores here: https://www.tesco.com/store-locator/uk/. I know RBS/NatWest offer the 'Get Cash' functionality on their app; I appreciate current accounts are now closed to new applicants but is it something worth looking into?

I no longer have a current account myself and whilst I'm lucky enough to near close enough to an Extra store not all customers are?
