Car Insurance - Previous Bankruptcy

  • ChrisD1's Avatar
Just shopping for car insurance at the moment and tesco bank car insurance is one of the options, however I noticed the following on the disclaimer page after running a quote:

"Can you answer 'yes' to these statements about you and your car?"

"I haven't been declared bankrupt and I don't have any unsatisfied court judgements, for example CCJs."

In my case, I have a Debt Relief Order from 2016, discharged 2017. I plan to pay the car insurance premium in full by credit card. Would it be safe to proceed buying the policy without risk of cancellation/invalidating the policy?

    Hi @ChrisD1

I can understand you don't want to take the policy out and then find its invalidated, however you're looking to pay the premium in full and not by monthly instalments.

I feel this is a specific question for the Car Insurance team who will be only too happy to assist you.
    They can be contacted on 0345 246 2895 or 0113 209 3098 (Mon-Fri 8am – 8pm, Sat & Sun 9am – 2pm)

Have a lovely Easter weekend, Caz @25H
