Sorry to hear you had issues in applying for a Tesco loan. I trust the @Tesco-Bank team have reached out to you to assist you in your application.

Unfortunately, some times, not having a history of borrowing can be just as detrimental as missing payments (for example). Lenders like to see a borrower's history and if there's no evidence of this on your credit reports that data may be used when they complete their internal credit score.

It's also worth having a look at Clearscore (they receive their data from Equifax), Credit Karma (who receive their data from TransUnion) and the Money Saving Expert Credit Club (who receive their data from Experian) to ensure all of the information on your reports is accurate.

These services are free of charge; there is no need to pay a subscription service.
