To start a new thread first choose which category it comes under:
Feedback & Discussions
Help & Support
Off Topic
Then click onto the category your new thread would come under and at the top on the right hand side is +Start a topic.
Click onto that and a new page will open up for you to put the title and content of your new thread.
Click 'Submit New Thread' at the bottom and you've started a new thread.

Thanks for the welcome!

I was diagnosed in 2013 and as I live in a rural part of the country had to stay in Glasgow for the 3 weeks of my radiotherapy. The Beatson is the only radiotherapy centre in the West of Scotland and the charity run centre (friends of the beatson) within the building go beyond the call of duty to help you. As I stayed in the hospital I hadn’t used the Maggie Centre but instead the Friends of The Beatson centre was were I went to get some rest bite.

so since 2015 I have raised money for charities that have helped my through my treatment and support. I have sent money to The Beatson, Breast Cancer Care, Breast Cancer Now plus 2 local charities - Dove centre and Pink ladies day.

I reckon I’ve probably raised somewhere between £7000 and £8000

im also part of several groups for breast cancer ladies and help promote awareness of several cancer conditions.

unfortunately my fundraising efforts were all cancelled last year due to COVID however I’m sure I’ll get back round to it whenever I can 😄

WOW, that'a an amazing amount of money you have raised for charity 😁
I've done a good deal of charity work over the years but I've not raised anywhere near as much as that.
Also being part of the groups helping others and promoting awareness.
