Your Insurance Account

With Your Insurance Account, you can:   View, download and then print any of your policy documents Check your renewal price and renew online Upload and send us documents such as your proof of no claims Make changes to your personal details such as changing your name or address Make changes to your policy such as changing your address, vehicle or adding/removing additional drivers   Please note that if you have an open claim or any outstanding payments then you will not be able to make any changes to your policy via Your Insurance Account.    If you would like to find out more about what is available in Your Insurance Account then head to our Your Insurance Account help page.

If you have chosen to receive your documents online, they will be available in Your Insurance Account.   If you have chosen to receive paper documents, please allow up to 7 working days for them to arrive.   You can view your documents immediately once you have registered for Your Insurance Account.

You can add an additional driver to your Car insurance policy 24 hours a day via Your Insurance Account. All you will need to know is the details of the additional driver, including date of birth and claims history and we can provide you with a quote. All changes made via Your Insurance Account will not incur an administration fee. Once you log in, click on the Make changes option. Scroll down to the Your drivers section Click on the Add another driver Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click Confirm Complete all the details for the additional driver, please check all the information is correct before clicking Confirm driver's details. Please note this will not process the change at this stage, you will be given the option to cancel on the next screen should you not want to go ahead. On the next screen please confirm who will be the main driver, then click Continue or you have the option of clicking Make further change(s) You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account If you do not want go ahead and need some time to think about the quote, this will be stored and can be accessed via Your saved change quotes on your account page.

You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy (also at an additional cost). If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account.   If you do not want go ahead and need some time to think about the quote, this will be stored and can be accessed via Your saved change quotes on your account page.   To remove a joint policyholder:   Once logged in, click Make changes. Scroll down and under Your policy holders, click Amend joint policyholder. Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click Confirm. Confirm whether your surname has changed since your last visit, and then select Remove joint policy holder on the right hand side of the screen. Please check all the information is correct before clicking Continue. Please note this will not process the change at this stage, you will be given the option to cancel on the next screen should you not want to go ahead. You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy (also at an additional cost) If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account.

It should only take a few minutes via Your Insurance Account to update your vehicle registration to a private / cherished plate.   Once you log in, click on the Make changes option Scroll down and click on Amend car details under the Your car section Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click Confirm Please enter your new registration but do not click Find my car, simply check all the information and scroll down to click Continue You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account

We ask for your first name, surname, date of birth, postcode and policy number to find your policy so that you can be registered on Your Insurance Account. If any of the information entered does not match the information we hold on your policy, you will need to contact us to update this before attempting to register again.  Please visit our contact us pages for  Car  and  Home  telephone numbers and opening hours. If you have a Tesco Bank Home Insurance policy and is underwritten by Tesco Underwriting, your policy starts with the letters TI.

If you have made a change to your policy using Your Insurance Account and are entitled to a refund, where the refund goes will depend on how you pay for your policy.   Direct Debit: The refund will be spread across your remaining payments.   Annual: The refund will be processed back to the most recent card on your account. If this is an old card or from a closed account, the refund can only be processed to this card.

If your policy is due for renewal, you can do the following via Your Insurance Account; Change your payment method from in full to monthly instalments Change your payment method from monthly instalments to payment in full Change your card details if you pay in full Please note, your payment will be taken immediately so if you do not want to pay until your renewal date, you will need to do this no later than the day before your renewal is due. If you want to change your details midterm, you cannot amend this via Your Insurance Account and you will need to contact us.
