Your Insurance Account

Your username is easily retrieved through our forgotten username process on Your Insurance Account, we just require some extra information from you.   To start the process select 'Forgotten your username?' Please enter your name, date of birth and postcode Click Continue to login If you have more than one account we will also ask you for your policy number Once your details are verified your username will appear on screen   If your details aren’t recognised, this means you are not registered for Your Insurance Account. We launched this service on 10th December 2017, so if you accessed your documents via email prior to this date, then you need to  register  for the service first.

Once you've logged in to Your Insurance Account, your documents are available by clicking View My Documents on the home page.   Please check all of your documents to make sure they're accurate as any errors may affect the cover you have under the policy, and any claims you make.   Customer Services can resend your documents so they become available in Your Insurance Account. They can be contacted by phone or you can request this via our Facebook or Twitter account.  Please visit our contact us pages for  Car  and  Home  telephone numbers and opening hours.    Please note: Your Online Insurance Account is applicable only for Car & Home Insurance policies. This should only take a few minutes via Your Insurance Account. If completed online your premium may change but you won't have to pay the £25 administration fee.   Once you log in, click on the Make changes option Scroll down and click on Change car under the Your car section Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click Confirm Please enter your new registration and click Find my car If the vehicle details are correct please click Continue. If the details are not correct, please select This is not my car and manually enter the correct details. Once complete, select Continue You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy whilst making the change If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account

It’s an ideal way of keeping everything important together in one place, and all that you need to check and change your policies. You can simply begin the registration process for Your Insurance Account and once you give us your policy number and personal details we can tell you if you're already set up.

Our forgotten password process is simple, we just need a few more bits of information from you.   Click Forgotten your password? on Your Insurance Account and you’ll be asked to select the number where we can send your One Time Access Code Ensure your mobile or landline number is correct and click on the chosen method of contact Your One Time Access Code is valid for 10 minutes and is sent immediately but can take up to 15 minutes to be received If it expires, you’ll need to request a new one online by following the same process Once your details are correct you’ll need to create a new password. Remember, your password must be at least seven characters with a mix of letters and numbers - it’s case sensitive and can’t be the same as your username.

To register for Your Insurance Account we will need either a  mobile or landline number so we can send you a One Time Access Code. This code is to make sure only you have access to your insurance documents and access to make changes to your insurance policy.   If you do not have a number registered or the number we have listed is incorrect, you will need to contact us to update this.   You can request this by sending a message to our Facebook or Twitter account. Alternatively, you can call Customer Services to arrange this. Please note this will not process the change at this stage, you will be given the option to cancel on the next screen should you not want to go ahead You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account Once you have processed your change, you will be asked whether you want to update your contact details. Please click yes to ensure your correspondence address is also updated HOME INSURANCE Once you log in, click on the Make changes option Scroll down and click on Change address under the Your home section Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click Confirm Complete all the details for your new address, check all the information is correct and scroll down to bottom of page If you want to change your correspondence address at the same time, you need to select yes to 'Do you also need to update your contact details?'. Please ensure all contact information, including the correspondence address is updated Please check all the information is correct before clicking Continue. This will not process the change at this stage, you will be given the option to cancel on the next screen should you not want to go ahead You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account Please note your correspondance address is the property you wish to have your documents posted to if your preferred delivery method is post, this may differ from the property you want to insure.

If you haven't already done so you can register for Your Insurance Account online. You will be asked to enter:   A username: You will need to enter this each time you log in, and this cannot be changed so use something you are likely to remember. We recommend using your email address. If you have a separate banking login or multiple insurance  products, then you cannot use the same username for each login. Please note we do not accept usernames containing 'Tesco'.   A password: Your password is case sensitive. It must be at least seven characters including letters and numbers. It cannot be the same as your username.   Policy details: If you are registering a policy you already have with us, you will be asked to enter your first name, surname, postcode, date of birth and policy number. Your policy number can be found on any emails we have recently sent you or on your policy documents.   One Time Access Code: When you have provided the above details we will send you a One Time Access Code to your landline or mobile number to verify who you are. The code is valid for 10 minutes and is sent immediately but can take up to 15 minutes to be received.

If we have requested you provide us with supporting documents, such a proof of no claims discount or you need to return your Consumer Credit Agreement (CCA), you can upload these on Your Insurance Account.   Once you log in, click on the Upload documents option To upload a document simply take a picture of the document or save the document to your device Once you have done this select Add files and select the relevant file. When added, please select a Description from the drop down menu and you can add any comments underneath if you wish To complete the process, click Start upload and once uploaded, please click Finish   Your document will then be sent to us and processed. You will not be able to view this via Your Insurance Account once this has been uploaded and we will only contact you if there are any problems.     Please note that only certain types of files can be uploaded, these are: GIF, PNG, PDF, JPG, JPEG and JPE. Uploaded files can be no larger than 3MB. If your file is too large please resize your image and try uploading again.
