How do I change my car on Your Insurance Account?

This should only take a few minutes via Your Insurance Account. If completed online your premium may change but you won't have to pay the £25 administration fee.

  • Once you log in, select the policy you want to make the change on and then click 'Make Changes'
  • Click 'Change car' from the drop down menu
  • Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click 'Confirm'
  • Please enter your new registration and click 'Find my car'
  • If the vehicle details are correct please click 'Continue'. If the details are not correct, please select 'This is not my car' and manually enter the correct details. Once complete, select 'Continue'
  • You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy whilst making the change
  • If you're happy and want to go ahead, click 'Go to checkout'. If you do not want to go ahead, click 'Back to your account'

Why wont it let me singn up kerp asking for mobile / house line no option

I recently changed the car on my policy with effect from Friday 6 September.  I need to change this to Thursday 5 September.  How do I do that?  I have tried to do it online but it won't work.

I have requested the change online and it gave me two options. Pay £196 now in full as a one off payment or pay an extra £104 from now until April 2020. I don’t understand why instalments would mean payment £700 compared to £194 if paying in full?

Thanks - I just called and have been advised that the quote system is worded incorrectly. It should say ‘your new payments will be X’ but instead it implies the amount is an additional cost. 

hi how do you update car details all i need to hange is registered keeper/ owner of the car everything else is the same ??

Just want to change my vehicle, absolutely straightforward with nothing out of the ordinary, but I can’t “based on the answers you’ve given”!  Was assured at renewal in April this wouldn’t be a problem online to avoid the admin fee
