Hi @johnjohnjohn the option to change your vehicle won't be available if you're in your renewal cycle and you would need to give us a call to update the vehicle. If your policy is due for renewal in the next 28 days then please give us a call on 0345 246 2895, Monday - Friday: 8am - 9pm and Saturday - Sunday: 9am - 5pm.
If you're not in the renewal cycle, then call the number above so we can run through some troubleshooting with you.

I have found out that this stated option is NOT available close to a policy renewal date so clearly the instructions should mention this!
To compound my problem, I am also thinking of changing my car to a newer one while keeping to the same make and model and simply wanted to see what such a newer car, insurance quote would be. Unfortunately I am told that it is not possible to get this information because I am close to my renewal date because any price increase quoted would only cover the few days unexpired on my current policy, thus would be almost totally worthless to me.
It looks like I shall have to forget Tesco and go on a Comparison site to search for the likely insurance cost of such a new car.
I did even try applying for a NEW policy online at Tesco however this quoted me more that ten times that of other company quotes - maybe because it knows I am already insured with Tesco. Not very helpfull..............................
@johnjohnjohn The difference in price online as a new customer could be down to a different underwriter providing the quote, and each underwriter has different rating factors. I can certainly pass your comments on as feedback.
