How do I change my address on Your Insurance Account?

This should only take a few minutes via Your Insurance Account. If completed online your premium may change but you won't have to pay the £25 administration fee.

CAR INSURANCE

  • Once you log in, select the policy you want to make the change on and then click Make changes
  • Click Amend your details from the drop down menu
  • Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click Confirm
  • Complete all the details for your new address, please check all the information is correct before clicking Continue. Please note this will not process the change at this stage, you will be given the option to cancel on the next screen should you not want to go ahead
  • You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy
  • If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account
  • Once you have processed your change, you will be asked whether you want to update your contact details. Please click yes to ensure your correspondence address is also updated


HOME INSURANCE

  • Once you log in, select the policy you want to make the change on and then click on the Make changes option
  • Click Change address from the drop down menu
  • Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click Confirm
  • Complete all the details for your new address, check all the information is correct and scroll down to bottom of page
  • If you want to change your correspondence address at the same time, you need to select yes to 'Do you also need to update your contact details?'. Please ensure all contact information, including the correspondence address is updated
  • Please check all the information is correct before clicking Continue. This will not process the change at this stage, you will be given the option to cancel on the next screen should you not want to go ahead
  • You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy
  • If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account

Please note your correspondance address is the property you wish to have your documents posted to if your preferred delivery method is post, this may differ from the property you want to insure.

Hi @denny, sorry to hear you’re having trouble changing your address online. If your policy is in the renewal period, you would be unable to amend this online, I’m afraid. However, if you give us a call, we can update this for you. If you have a car insurance policy, the number for our Car Insurance Team is 0345 246 2895 (Mon - Fri: 8am - 9pm, Sat - Sun: 9am - 5pm). If it’s a home insurance policy you have with us, the number for our Home Insurance Team is 0345 246 2904 (Mon - Fri: 8am - 9pm, Sat - Sun: 9am - 5pm).

I am attempting to change my address but keep going round in circles and cannot find an amend button, totally frustrated.

Hi there, sorry to hear you're having problems with this! When logged into Your Insurance Account, there should be a 'Make changes' option on the main page. However, if your policy is in the renewal period, then this would need amended over the phone. If that is the case, please contact our team on 0345 246 2895 (Mon - Fri: 9am - 6pm, Sat: 9am - 2pm) for car insurance, or 0345 246 2904 (Mon - Fri: 9am - 6pm, Sat: 9am - 2pm) for home insurance.
