How do I change my address on Your Insurance Account?

This should only take a few minutes via Your Insurance Account. If completed online your premium may change but you won't have to pay the £25 administration fee.

CAR INSURANCE

  • Once you log in, click on the Make changes option
  • Scroll down and click on Amend your details under the Your details section
  • Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click Confirm
  • Complete all the details for your new address, please check all the information is correct before clicking Continue. Please note this will not process the change at this stage, you will be given the option to cancel on the next screen should you not want to go ahead
  • You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy
  • If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account
  • Once you have processed your change, you will be asked whether you want to update your contact details. Please click yes to ensure your correspondence address is also updated


HOME INSURANCE

  • Once you log in, click on the Make changes option
  • Scroll down and click on Change address under the Your home section
  • Select the date you want your change to take effect from, read the statements carefully and if accepted, click Confirm
  • Complete all the details for your new address, check all the information is correct and scroll down to bottom of page
  • If you want to change your correspondence address at the same time, you need to select yes to 'Do you also need to update your contact details?'. Please ensure all contact information, including the correspondence address is updated
  • Please check all the information is correct before clicking Continue. This will not process the change at this stage, you will be given the option to cancel on the next screen should you not want to go ahead
  • You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy
  • If you're happy and want to go ahead, click Go to checkout. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account

Please note your correspondance address is the property you wish to have your documents posted to if your preferred delivery method is post, this may differ from the property you want to insure.

There is no "Amend your details" option under the Your details section.

If this is the case, we can make these changes over the phone and no admin fee would apply. You can reach our home insurance team on 0345 246 2904 and our car insurance team on 0345 246 2895. Lines are open Mon - Fri: 8am - 9pm, Sat - Sun: 9am - 5pm.

There is nowhere to amend address , do they say contact us so we have to pay , Ive clicked on change I’m under my details and nowhere does it say amend ?????

It says all changes made via your insurance account will not incur administration fees but doesn’t let you change anything via your insurance account ???? Is this real ??? 🤔🤔🤔

Hi @bethsdad, thanks for getting in touch. I've attached a link for you with instructions on how to change your address details via Your Insurance Account (YIA). Could you follow the instructions and let me know how you get on? If this doesn't work, please send a private message to @Tesco-Bank containing your full name, DOB, postcode and policy number and I'll look into this for you.

is this the same process for changing an address on a black box policy? do I do it through portal or is it another website?

Box Insurance is arranged and administered by Insure The Box Limited, please get in touch with them directly on 0330 022 2202 (Monday to Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday 9am-4pm) and they'll be able to assist you. They also have a live chat service available via their online portal, and one of my colleagues can also assist you there.

I keep getting asked for my mobile number but there is no where to add and it I keep getting redirected to this page, very frustrating as I only want to change my address !!
