Hi, I got lower quotation from other insurer than the Tesco renewal price. I want to contact Tesco once before I change my mind. But all the numbers hangs up after covid 19 message. What is the alternative way to discuss?

I have just had a renewal notice but the price is too high, especially since I have lost my income due to Covid and will have to pay monthly. Your telephone service appears not to be working and just goes to an engaged tone. There is no message about reduce hours to say what they are. It is totally infuriating! I want to negotiate a price .

I have sent an email to cancel my car insurance but as I'm within 48 hours of the renewal you ask people to call you, but none of your phones are working. Theres just an automated message, and then the call is cut off.

Hi, I am due for a car policy renewal in 5 days but your quote is £300 more than competition so I want to negotiate or failing that cancel the renewal. Your phone line seems to be constantly busy or closed and your useless website does not state the opening hours. Please contact me as soon as possible or I will instruct my bank to stop any payments to Tesco Bank and move to another insurer.

I've got renewal offer from Tesco but for some reason price increased from £532.52 to £705.70. Why it is so expensive? When I've used moneysupermarket website I've got lowest quote from Tesco on £464.56. The only thing I've changed in form is car usege from business to social & commuting. Can I get a better quote?
Hi @mrmaeu, sorry you've seen an increase in your premium this year. Occasionally you can see cheaper prices with Tesco Bank online, this is due to an online discount and different underwriters quoting. If all of the details on the new quote are the same, we will match the lower price for you. If you call our Car Insurance team, they can check this for you.
