Pet Insurance

How long does it take to settle a claim?

Repeat medication claims and claims for ongoing conditions can be made online, and this is the fastest way to get a claim paid. For new claims, esnuring that all the requested information is included will help speed up settlement of your claim, as will selecting payment by bank transfer.

The team must ensure they have all relevant details in relation to your claim to allow them resolve as quickly as they can. I'm really sorry they've had to send a further a letter about this, @sezza101. I hope all is resolve ASAP! Please let us know how you get on - Ash

They assured me they had it all first time around. Then when they requested more info it was sent and they said that's everything.

I'll be calling again today to see what they say, my car insurance and other dog are insured through you which are both due this month. Safe to say I won't be renewing after this appalling service.

I'm very sorry to hear that, @sezza101. When calling it would be best you highlight any trouble you've had and the team can look into this for you and raise a complaint if necessary - Ash

I'm sorry but I can hardly type I'm so angry. What does "promptly" actually mean? What if I said my Vet bill has still NOT been settled after 11 months. That's right only 1 month into a 12 month policy. I have never been contacted by anyone from Tesco requesting medical history of my jack Russell terrier. The first I knew that you required this information was a letter from a debt collection agency demanding payment. I've given up calling your claims dept. I can't believe I'm spending a Saturday night complaining about this nightmare. In fact I'm going to lie down in a dark room. I can't help thinking I'm wasting my time writing this. I'll see how long it will take until you contact me.....if at all. Totally non existent Customer service😠😠😠.

Eric Doyle.

Hi Eric, sorry to hear your claim hasn’t been settled. Unfortunately we’re unable to assist with Pet Insurance queries here. You’ll need to give us a call on 0345 078 3895 (Mon - Fri: 8am - 8pm, Sat: 9am - 5pm, Sun: 10am - 5pm) where one of my colleagues will be able to look into this.

My vets and myself sent the same claim three times now and even called tesco twice for an update. First claim was emailed 24th Feb. Still haven't heard anything . Every time I call tesco they say speak to my vets.

Hi @kawasaki1500, I'm really sorry to hear this. We don't have access to our Pet Insurance Policies to check this as they're administered and underwritten by RSA. You can reach them on 0345 078 3895 (Mon - Fri: 8am - 8pm, Sat: 9am - 5pm, Sun: 10am - 5pm) and my colleagues will be happy to help you - Thomas
