What happens if I have forgotten my login details?

If you forget any of your login details, you can reset these online on a computer or mobile device that you've asked us to recognise. Just look for these links when logging in:


  • Forgotten your Username?
  • Forgotten your Security Number?
  • Forgotten your Password?
  • Forgotten both Security Number and Password?


If you are using a computer or mobile device that we don't recognise, call us on 0345 300 3511* to reset your details.


*This number may be included as part of any inclusive call minutes provided by your phone operator.

Hi @sluicehoops, when setting up your access to online banking the answers entered must be 4 or more characters in order to proceed. Could you’ve added another number or letter to complete your password at all?

If you are still having problems getting logged in please send a private message to @CET so we can get it reset for you.


Please note: don't include the @ symbol when putting in the contact details via private message, just CET.


In the message explaining your situation, include your name, date of birth, postcode and, if you have it, mobile number.


For details like your DOB, postcode and phone number, we ask for you to format it with additional spaces, i.e. A B 1 2 C D, 2 4 1 0 2 0 1 6 and 0 7 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 otherwise the information is removed by the system.

I am trying to reset my details, but don't have my credit card number. Is there anything I can do?

You'll need to phone us if you don't have a card of your card number so we can get you one, the number to call is 0345 300 4278 (open 24/7) - Tristan


Locked out of online banking & i have changed my mobile number. How do i change my mobile number to recieve one off code when i am locked out?

We'd need to speak with you to get the mobile number updated first of all @ED29 - just give our Online Helpdesk a call and they'll be happy to arrange this. They're available 24/7 on 0345 300 3511.
