Can I request a balance transfer to my Tesco Bank Credit Card online?

Yes. You can request to transfer a balance during the online credit card application process. You can transfer up to 95% of your credit limit but you won’t be able to transfer a balance between Tesco Bank Credit Cards.

  • Log in to Online Banking and click on the arrow to expand your credit card account
  • Select 'Balance transfer' from the right handside
  • Read the important information and then select 'Next'
  • Enter the amount you wish to transfer, check it's correct then select 'Next'
  • Enter the credit card number of the balance you wish to transfer and then follow the on screen instructions

I can not see "Manage Account" only my overview, there is no Manage Account option on the right hand side of the screen. I've tried IE and Chrome but both the same.

Hi @BigEasy, sorry you're having trouble. When you're on your account overview, you should click the arrow in the box containing your account. You will then see "Manage account" in a white button, which will then take you to "Manage your account". I hope this helps 🙂 - Caroline

Hi,  Id like to transfer some money from my credit card into another bank account, does there have to be no outstanding money on the card before i can do it because when i try it keeps saying it can't be done ...

Hi @dribbly24, thanks for getting in touch. Are you looking to transfer money into a UK current account? If so, it would be a money transfer you'd request via online banking or the mobile app. The link that @KeiganM has shared above provides some more information about this. It doesn't work.


I go to money transfer, I enter the amount, I enter the name of the bank , the sort code and account number, I tick the box asking if I want to continue and then on the next page it says We're sorry, something went wrong.

I've triedd to pay into 2 different accounts viy it makes no difference

I made a balance transfer from my Tesco CC to a Barclaycard CC, I have received confirmation from Barclaycard that it has gone through and is showing the balance which I owe on their side, However on the Tesco app, it is not showing any balance has been transferred.
