We know your pet is an important member of the family and if it becomes unwell, it can be worrying and stressful. At Tesco Bank we want to provide the best level of care for your pet, while making sure our premiums are still competitively priced.

Royal and Sun Alliance, who underwrite our pet insurance policy have created a network of referral vets to provide your pet with the highest standards of care. Through the use of this network, we can continue to offer cover for referral visits and keep premiums as low as possible.

So when do you need to use this referral network?

You still have complete choice over both the day to day and any referred vet care your pet needs. Your day to day vet will assess and agree any referrals as normal.

If your pet requires an emergency vet referral, this will continue as usual.

Where your pet requires a non-emergency referral, you will be given the choice of seeing a vet from our list of approved vet referrals for no additional cost, or you can opt to pick a vet outside this list which will result in an additional £200 excess.
