Mobile Banking App

Why does my device no longer support the Tesco Bank Mobile Banking App?

We have recently updated some of our security measures for the Tesco Bank Mobile App, which means that some of our customers using older devices, operating systems or app versions will no longer be able to access our app. To keep you safe and so you get the most out of our app, we strongly recommend that you ensure you have the latest Tesco Bank Mobile App release and the newest available operating system for your device.

For Apple Customers - you will need to update your app if you are using app version 1.8.0 or older. If you have an Apple device with iOS 7.0 or below, you will need to upgrade your device’s operating system before you can download the newest version of our app.

For Android Customers - you will need to update your app if you are using app version 1.8.1 or older. If you have an Android device with Android operating system 2.3 through to 4.4, you will need to upgrade your device’s operating system before you can regain access to our Mobile App. Additionally, accessing our app using a Tesco Hudl or Hudl 2 device is possible using app version 2.1.0, however any future updates to the app will not be supported by Hudl devices. This is to ensure that our app is built to incorporate the security and performance optimisations that come with the newest Android operating systems.

If you are unable to upgrade your device to a compatible version, you will still be able to manage all of your Tesco Bank accounts either on your phone, tablet or a desktop computer using our Online Banking which you can log in to here.

I have an ACER tablet A1-734 running Android 6.0 but it still says "your device isn't compatible with this version" when I try and install the mobile banking app from playstore

Hi @idlemarvel, I'm afraid that the app isn't currently compatible with that device. However, you will be able to manage your account through the devices browser.

Hi, I factory reset my Huawei p smart phone to solve an issue and can no longer use the banking app. The app is not even showing in the Play store.

I am running Android 8 so there shouldn't be a problem there. Any ideas on what to do?

Thanks

Dave

@RossM

The app is NOT in the Google Play store, regardless of what device I use to search.

I factory reset my Google Pixel XL / Android 9 and am unable to reinstall the app.

I've searched from multiple devices and also from my desktop which shows all apps regardless of compatibility.

Can you advise where the app is and when it may be available again please.

Thanks in advance

Steve

Hi @Flyfisher1948 and @LordSprocket, we're aware of some issues Android customers are having with the app not showing on Play Store, and we're working on resolving this. I'd advise keeping an eye on the store to see when it updates.

Thanks @Flyfisher1948, I just logged in to say exactly that. The App is now back on Google Play store for all customers to download (may be of interest to you @LordSprocket).
