Process a balance transfer to your Tesco Bank credit card

Follow the relevant steps for your phone type to process a balance transfer from another card to your Tesco Bank credit card using the mobile app.

 

iPhone

 

  1. In the Credit Card Account Management section of the app select the Balance Transfer. The available funds to transfer and the fee amount displays.

 

  1. Complete the form.

 

  1. On the next screen tick the box to confirm you wish to proceed.

 

  1. Enter your login details to complete the process.

 

Android

 

  1. In the Credit Card section of the app there is a red fly-out menu button at the bottom of the screen. Tap this menu button and select the Balance Transfer. The available funds to transfer and the fee amount displays.

 

  1. Complete the form.

 

  1. On the next screen tick the box to confirm you wish to proceed.

 

  1. Enter your login details to complete the process.

 

You can transfer up to 95% of your credit limit but you won’t be able to transfer a balance between Tesco Bank credit cards.

If you have the Tesco Bank mobile banking app on your iPad just follow the steps listed above to complete the balance transfer on this device. If you don't have the app, you can request this online. Please see this page for more details on how to do this.

just activated credit card

when applying detailed value of balance transfer

since stating amount paid my existing creidt card to reduce balnce therefore want to reduce my blance transfer amount but cannot get past automated phone system

Hi @alasdair2, sorry that you were having trouble getting through our phone lines. Have you now managed to speak to someone? If not, please send a private message to @CET with your full name, DOB and postcode so we can help. You will still need to speak to us on the phone, but sending a message with details allows us to locate your account and help from our end (if you haven't resolved the issue already). 

 

Please note: don't include the @ symbol when putting in the contact details via private message, just CET.

For details like your DOB, postcode and phone number, we ask for you to format it with additional spaces, i.e. A B 1 2 C D, 2 4 1 0 2 0 1 6 and 0 7 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 otherwise the information is removed by the system.

Is Thier something seriously​ going wrong with Tesco Banking systems??

My Barclaycard​ credit card has been trying to deposit money into my Tesco Current account but, the Tesco sort code is no longer working, likewise my D/D payments are not transfering in a timely manner to Barclaycard. 

This may cost me my free interest money transfer I currently have with Barclaycard, which, of course will seek recompense.

Barclaycard claim these problems I'm experiencing to all down to Tesco Bank, who is causing the problem.

Im getting to the point of calling in the banking omnibusman.

Hi @am29, I'm sorry that you're having trouble sending money to your current account - we've not been made aware of any issues with receiving funds. Your direct debit should be sent the day that this is sent, is this not happening?
If you message @CET with your full name, DOB and postcode with a space between each character we can certainly look into this for you and provide some assistance.

Hi Adam, thank you the response, the transfer from Barclaycard, is, I'm now informed all down to Barclaycard's systems?

They insinuated that it wasn't, it now turns out it is. Apologies for that, they steered me in the wrong direction.

My payments to them by D/D is arriving in a timely manner.

Help i balance transferred too much money onto the card as when I applied I transferred some then too. What do I do?
