How long will it take to get my loan?

If you apply online, we try to give an instant decision. If you’ve been approved, we will either send you some paperwork to check and sign, or if possible you may be able to sign your loan agreement digitally. We’ll then use Faster Payments to send the money directly to your bank account. This can take up to 48 hours and the money can be withdrawn as soon as the funds reach your account.


If you apply over the phone or we require some supporting documentation, it may take between 5 – 10 days for us to check everything is ok. Once we make a final decision, if approved we will send a loan agreement for you to sign and return. As we try to do this as quickly as possible, we do not send an acknowledgment email or letter, but will inform you as soon as a decision has been made. Once this is processed, we will use Faster Payments to send the money to your account.


If you gave us your mobile number during your application we will send a text when the funds have been sent to your account, followed by a welcome letter.


Should you need more information or have any questions, please call us on 0345 600 6016 (Monday to Friday 8am – 10pm and 9am – 5pm Saturday & Sunday). This number may be included as part of any inclusive call minutes provided by your phone operator.

Hello i posted my signed loan documents back to you over two weeks ago and i have not had any reply from you we have been having problems with the post in our area of late so i just need know if you have receved them or not .  Cheers.

Hai I have applied for my loan online and it has been approved so I signed the agreement aswell but I have not received my loan amount yet. Could you please let me know how long will it take normally?

Hi got approved for loan agreed everything then says error please contact then doesn’t send me anywhere?????

i applied for a loan loan on Friday and it got approved but did not sign anything electronically. I haven't not heard anything since. Can you private message me my status please?

Hi I’m just getting to grips with ALL this electronic usage stuff and I’ve been reading some of the other users comments and I’m asking myself now if Tesco Bank is as good as what they make it out to be,I’m also a Barclay card Platinum visa customer and to be BRUTALLY HONEST they are ALSO a complete joke,I’ve had to call them every month to question my statement because WITHOUT FAIL I’ve noticed something wrong, but I’m hoping that the comments that I’ve read don’t really reflect upon Tesco Bank on a whole,in advance thank you for your support in reading my own personal comments B

We don't send out emails when you apply and I'm afraid you wouldn’t be able to digitally sign if the option was not presented to you. If your application has been passed to our Assessment team, they'll call you in the next two to three working days with an update. If you don't hear anything, call us on 0345 600 6016, available 8am - 10pm through the week and 9am - 5pm at the weekend.
