How do I update my address and phone number for my loan account?

The quickest and easiest way to change your address details is to do this on Online Banking. If you're not yet registered for Online Banking, it's quick and easy.

  1. Log in to  Online Banking.
  2. On the My Overview page, scroll down to find the account you want to update and click on the white arrow within the blue box.
  3. Once you have clicked on your selected account, the blue box will expand and you will see a button which says Manage Account – please click this button to move onto the next step.
  4. On the Account Overview page, please scroll down on the right hand side where you will see the 'Your Details' box. Expand this to reveal the editing options.
  5. Firstly click on Change your address, then Update on the Update your address page to begin editing your details. Enter your postcode and house number, and select Find Address. Once you are happy with the selected details, ensure all required fields are complete and click Continue and then Confirm you are happy with the details entered. Press Back if you wish to edit again.
  6. Secondly to update your phone number, in the editing box on the right hand side of the Account Overview page, click Change your email address or phone number. Enter your new number and click Continue to confirm.

We will send a confirmation text once the request has been submitted online.
It’s important that you keep us informed if you change your address. It is a legal requirement that we send your annual statement to your last known address, so by keeping us informed when you move home you can help ensure that this sensitive information reaches you as intended.

Please note: If you have any other Tesco Bank accounts or insurance policies, you will have to update your address and mobile number for those separately.

Have you been able to follow the steps in the FAQ and change the address for your loan? 

I'd like to change my address but am unable as I can't change my address online, keeps saying wrong address

I am sorry you've had trouble updating your details online @loopylou66. Is it a new build property? Have you checked that it has been registered with the Royal Mail?

Where can I get my loan sort code and account number?

Hi @Lany81, you can find your loans sort code and account number on your welcome pack documents or your statement. If you don’t have a statement, please call us on 0345 600 6016 so we can arrange for a copy to be sent to you.  Lines are open Monday to Friday 8am to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm. Alternatively, if you send a private message to @CET. In the message explaining your situation, include your name, date of birth, and postcode. For details like your DOB and postcode, we ask for you to format it with additional spaces, i.e. A B 1 2 C D, 2 4 1 0 2 0 1 6 otherwise the information is removed by the system.

  • New address (including postcode)

  • Please ensure that you sign the letter
