Instant Access Saver

How do I pay money into my Instant Access Savings Account?

You can move money into your account in the following ways:

1. Contact your account provider or use their online banking service to make one-off payments into your Account or set up a Standing Order to make regular payments. You’ll need your Tesco Bank Savings sort code and account number to do this – you’ll find this on your statement or your welcome letter.

2. In-store cheque deposit.

Before the 24 September 2018:
You can deposit cheques at the Customer Service Desk in selected UK Tesco stores (for availability please see Banking in Tesco Stores). You’ll need to have your Instant Access Savings Card with you.

Please ensure the cheque is made payable to the person named on the Savings Account and clearly write your Account number and sort code on the back of the cheque.

After the 24 September 2018:
To support the new faster clearing timescales, from 24 September 2018 you will no longer be able to deposit cheques in Tesco stores. You can pay a cheque into your Account by posting it to us using our freepost address: Freepost TESCO BANK, 4943. No other address details are needed.

Please ensure the cheque is made payable to the person named on the Savings Account and clearly write your Account number and sort code on the back of the cheque.

3. Posting cheques to us.
You can post cheques to us at: Freepost TESCO BANK, 4943. No other address details are needed.

Please ensure the cheque is made payable to the person named on the Savings Account and clearly write your Account number and sort code on the back of the cheque.

4. You can move funds from another account you have with Tesco Bank using Online Banking or via the Mobile App.

I've just opened an Interent Saver account and want to make my initial deposit via my current account internet banking.  I know that I need my new Tesco sort code and account number which I can see on my account, but what is the account name? Is this my name? Sorry if this is an obvious question but I can't find the answer anywhere.

@Syncroy sorry for the delay in responding. You're right, the account name is just your name.

Just out of interest, have you added your new Instant Access Savings Account to your existing Online Banking details? As you can do a transfer between your accounts if so, rather than making a payment using the sort code and account number. If you're unsure how to do this, you can contact our Online Helpdesk on 0345 300 3511 and they will be able to assist you further.

Thanks - Sarah

I have a savings account , can other people transfer money into it from their own bank accounts ?

Hi @suebeak, anyone can pay into your savings account. They would just need to use your sort code and account number. I hope this clarifies things for you.
