If you have Tesco Value Home Insurance this cover is only available if the accidental damage option is selected as an optional extra. You can add either buildings or contents to your policy 24 hours a day through Your Insurance Account. If you are adding either buildings or contents to your policy, you will need to know details of your property and contents including any claims history before we can provide you with a quote. Once you log in, select the relevant policy Click on Make Changes from the home page Click either Add buildings cover or Add contents cover from the drop down menu Complete the required information and click Continue You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy (at an additional cost) whilst making the change If you're happy and want to go ahead, select monthly payment or pay in full. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account

If you need to make a claim on your Tesco Bank Home Insurance policy, we suggest doing this as soon as possible. The sooner you report it, the sooner we can help you. The number you need to call will depend on your underwriter. To find the correct one, please visit the   Home insurance claims: how to claim   section on our website, or by clicking "Make a claim" at the top of the Your Insurance Account home page. If you need to make a claim against one of your optional extras, you can also find the relevant telephone number on our website. All our claim notification lines are open 24/7. Where possible, please quote your policy number which you can find on your schedule.

 Although we can quote for policies up to 30 days in advance or until the start date of the quote, we can only ensure the price remains valid if purchased when you receive it.   This means retrieved quotes will be refreshed using the information that you have previously submitted and could result in your price changing.     Any changes to your quote details may also result in the price changing.

You can view your documents 24 hours a day via Your Insurance Account.  Not yet registered? It only takes a few minutes to register and you can view, download and print any of your policy documents straight away. Once you've logged into Your Insurance Account, select the relevant policy. You can access your documents by selecting View documents from the home screen where you will be presented with a list of your documents and the dates they are valid from. Documents by post: Documents sent in the post can take up to five working days to arrive. Please note, when checking your documents you must ensure all your information is accurate and up to date as any incorrect information could leave you uninsured. Tesco Bank Home Insurance will pay up to £5,000 for loss or damage to contents belonging to you or a member of your family when they are in the halls of residence or any other term time accommodation in the UK whilst attending college, university, or boarding school. Please note that the student must be a permanent resident at the parent's address when not studying at university. Monetary limits, excesses and exclusions apply.
