Contents cover includes accidental damage cover for home entertainment equipment such as TVs, DVD players and laptops as standard for all policies except our Tesco Value policies. If you have Tesco Value Home Insurance this cover is only available if the accidental damage option is selected as an optional extra. You can add either buildings or contents to your policy 24 hours a day through Your Insurance Account. If you are adding either buildings or contents to your policy, you will need to know details of your property and contents including any claims history before we can provide you with a quote. Once you log in, click on the Make changes option Scroll down and under Your home section, click either Add buildings cover or Add contents cover Complete the required information and click Continue You will then be presented with the cost to make the change and the option of adding any optional extras to your policy (at an additional cost) whilst making the change If you're happy and want to go ahead, select monthly payment or pay in full. If you do not want to go ahead, click Back to your account

 Although we can quote for policies up to 30 days in advance, we can only ensure the price remains valid if purchased when you receive it.   This means retrieved quotes will be refreshed using the information that you have previously submitted and could result in your price changing.     Any changes to your quote details may also result in the price changing.
