Hi @Andyitopping, I'm afraid that we will need to speak to you to arrange this using the contact information above if your policy has already renewed. If this is before the renewal date then please send a private message to @Tesco-Bank.

Hi @EEK, I'm really sorry to hear about the trouble you've had trying to get the policy cancelled. So I can help, can you please send over a private message to Tesco-Bank?

My Tesco Home and Buildings insurance auto-renewed today and payment was taken immediately from my credit card.  I had been trying to get in touch the day before to cancel it as I had found a substantially better deal elsewhere.  However, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, Tesco were not taking calls on Sundays.  On the renewal date the next day I tried ringing several times on 0345 671 5688, which is the customer Service number listed at the top of my renewal letter.  It just kept going to an engaged tone.  Through trawling through the website I came across the number 0113 209 3099 which eventually got me through to a real person who cancelled the policy and refunded me there and then, no questions asked or hard sell to remain with Tesco.  So a mixed comment, some negatives but ultimately a positive on this occasion.

Hi @SpringBird, thanks for your message. I'm sorry you had problems reaching us, we have limited staff and opening hours at the moment due to the current situation. However, I'm glad to hear you managed to reach the Home Insurance team and cancel the policy. Please let us know if you need anything else 🙂

Your phone line says I can cancel  my contents insurance online, but when online it says I have to telephone. I am still waiting on the phone.

Hi @Ziggyrosa1, sorry you're having problems cancelling the policy. Are you looking to cancel the policy mid-term? If so, the quickest way to arrange this is over the phone, the Home Insurance team are available on 0345 246 2904 (Mon - Fri: 9am - 6pm, Sat: 9am - 2pm). Did you manage to reach them when you tried calling?

If you are looking to cancel your renewal, please send us a private message to Tesco-Bank so we can help here.

Hi there. I really don't want to spend a long time waiting for an answer on the phone so thought I'd just ask the question on here. My renewal cost is £40 more than last year yet I have been quoted £86 cheaper on a comparison website. Can you tell me why this is please?
