How do I cancel my Home Insurance renewal?

If you don’t want to renew, please download and complete the form below and email it to lapsemyrenewal@tescobank.com.

We recommend using a laptop or PC to do this. If you are using your mobile, you will need to save the form to your files before completing the fields and emailing it.
If you do need to make a change or would like to discuss your renewal, please contact us.

If you want to renew your policy, you can renew it yourself by logging in to Your Insurance Account.

  • Once logged in, select the policy you wish to renew
  • Click View renewal from the front page of your policy
  • Please check all the information is up to date
  • You will then be asked if you're happy to automatically renew or whether you want to change your payment details (please note that if you pay in full, your payment will be taken immediately)
  • Continue using the on screen instructions to confirm your payment details

If your policy is set to automatically renew, you don’t need to do anything unless your circumstances have changed or you want to make a change to your policy. If you pay by Direct Debit your new payments will start automatically. If you pay annually, the new payment will automatically be taken from the same payment card you used last year.

If your policy is set to automatically renew and you do not want to go ahead, you need to contact us.

I have home insurence policy with Tesco's it is due next month they say it will be taken from my bank acount, I have a new card number what do I do

If you have a new card you’ll need to give our helpline a call to make the payment.

 

Please call us on 0345 246.2904 (or 0113 820 994 from a mobile) and we are open Mon - Fri 8am - 9pm and Sat - Sun 9am - 5pm

I have been trying to cancel my Home Insurance policy via phone for the last 2 days. Now it has renewed automatically but I still need to cancel it. Getting through via the phone line is a challenge to say the least.

This isn't something that we can process over social media, but if you call our Home Insurance team on 0345 246 2904, we can arrange that for you. Our opening hours are Mon - Fri: 9am - 6pm, Sat: 9am - 2pm. I'm sorry to hear you've had problems reaching us previously, please let me know if you still have issues with this.

 

Alternatively, you can cancel your policy by writing to us at Freepost RSJB-RZZY-HTJB Tesco Bank Customer Service, P O Box 276, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE12 2BT. Please include your policy number, DOB, address and a signature if you are writing.
