Policy renewal

    Hello

Does this sound right to you?

Renew our policy, pay by direct debit.

Lad on scooter writes our car off.

We start looking for a new car. Receive letter from Tesco advising the insurance cover will be closed down.

Insurance closed down as we are still in process of applying for loan for new car. Tesco advise the full outstanding amount of insurance premium must be paid immediately or will be referred to debt collection. We pay the £370.

Tesco credit us £150 for car value once £400 excess deducted. Told we will get costs back if Tesco win the claim over the other insurer.

Tesco win claim, we are not at fault. We are now awaiting a credit of just £20 and have been told we have to sort out the £400 excess reclaim from the other insurer ourselves. This is frustrating but expect that we missed this in the small print. Would have been good customer service to make us better aware of this.

Why do we at least not get the pro rata'd premium cost back now Tesco have confirmed we were not at fault?

    Sorry to hear about this

Please send a message with your full name, DOB and postcode to @Tesco-Bank so we can look into this. Don't include the @ symbol when putting in the contact details via private message, just Tesco-Bank.

For details like your DOB and postcode, we ask for you to format it with additional spaces, i.e. A B 1 2 C D and 2 4 1 0 2 0 1 6 otherwise the information is removed by the system.
