Overlimit fee - not sure from where

    I got charged an overlimit fee last month; which I considered fair enough, as it had been a high-consumption month, and a new purchase not expected for 2-3 months came through within a couple of weeks. I assumed this just stacked up enough so didn't check any further. Just got a letter saying that I had breached my limit *again*, very much unexpectedly, so have gone through trying to find the source. My limit was £2,250 (which I just increased to £3,000 now to try and avoid future issues) - and the total outgoings from the November-January 3-month period totals under £3,800. The statements themselves don't actually show a limit breach at all! Can provide more details, but am I missing something glaringly obvious or is there something at fault here?
