Fixed Rate Saver

How do I pay money into my Fixed Rate Saver Account?

You can move money into your account in the following ways:

1. Contact your account provider or use their online banking service to make a one-off payment into your Account. You’ll need your Tesco Bank Savings sort code and Account number to do this – you’ll find this on your statement or your welcome letter.

2. Posting cheques to us.
You can post cheques to us at: Freepost TESCO BANK, 4943. No other address details are needed.

Please ensure the cheque is made payable to the person named on the Savings Account and clearly write the Account number and sort code on the back of the cheque.

3. You can move funds from another account you have with Tesco Bank using Online Banking or the Mobile App.

Important – please bear in mind that you can currently only make a single deposit to your Fixed Rate Saver account, so be sure before you make your deposit that this is the final amount you wish to invest. This must be paid within the first 30 days.

Hi. I've inadvertently tried to transfer money into my fixed savings account after already paying in. I thought I had 30days to fund the account. What will now happen to the transfer. The money has disappeared.

Hi @Gorjam2258, if you've already made a deposit then these funds should simply bounce back to you within 3 - 5 working days. If this is not the case, please get back in touch with @CET so we can take a further look at this for you - Adam

Im profoundly deaf which means i have a lot of problems communicating with banks who hold my savings but in general i manage, i applied for a fixed rate savings account approx a week and a half ago and have not yet had an acknowlegement via email but as you see i have an id limited for security purposes . i will need an accknowledge before i can send money by a bankers bacs system yours sincerely

Hi @john14, we generally don't send any emails during application stage. However, if you send @CET a private message with your full name, DOB and postcode I can check the status of the application and let you know. Once setup you should be able to fully manage your account online.

Why can't I transfer money from my instant access account into a fixed rate saver?

Hi @Blot85JJB, I'm sorry you're having trouble moving funds between your accounts. Could you message me @CET confirming your full name, DOB and postcode so that I can look into this please?

Hello, Tesco Bank. I'm absolutely not happy with the managing of my FIXED RATE SAVER and I really don't know who is making your bank's rules.

The rules are colliding each other and are actually leaving customers trapped in problems.

I don't know if to cry or laugh about this.

The only what I wanted to move money from one Tesco saver account into the new one FIXED RATE SAVER where you require to have deposited money by only one off payment! Why? It only God knows!

But on the other side, you are making limits on moving money even between two Tesco's accounts on the same Tesco Bank online banking! Why?

I would never expect something so irrational like this which make me unnecessary complications just now on how to transfer the rest of required money into the Fixed Rate Saver?

This is a Tesco bank error and I'm not willing to pay extra money for lengthy phone calls to fix this useless problem!

To whom one, can such half-baked rules have served when you can't move unlimited amounts of money from one Tesco account to another?

Hi @donecek333, I've replied to your Twitter message.
