Fixed Rate Saver

Can I withdraw money from a Fixed Rate Saver?

The Fixed Rate Saver offers a fixed rate of interest for a fixed term and does not allow any early access other than in exceptional circumstances (death, diagnosis of a terminal illness or, bankruptcy, insolvency or sequestration). We’re also doing everything we can to help and support customers who have been affected by COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Read our latest customer update for more details.

If you need to access your money due to exceptional circumstances, we will pay the balance on your account to you and the account will be closed. You will not be charged for this.

And is an exceptional circumstance when one has been disgusted about the way your bank manage things towards its customers?

You should add up this important thing into your internal rules as well as then you could avoid being brought into disrepute!

Hi @donecek333, I'm sorry to hear this. If you could please private message @Tesco-Bank with details on what's happened along with your full name, DOB and postcode, I'll be able to have a look into this for you - Caroline

Hi Caroline,

thank you for your response and I can assure you that this my comment is very intentional as I'm battling with Tesco bank since I started to apply for your product Fixed Rate Saver via an online application.

Yes, I will send you some details via private message.

No problem, we'll reply to your private message as soon as we can - Keigan

Hi Keigan,

please, because there is a dispute case still opened between me and Tesco Bank it would be much easy to provide you with relevant reference numbers pertaining to this.

Certainly, I can send (upload) to you any relevant document to support my dispute with Tesco Bank.

We will reply to your private message as soon as we receive it, @donecek333 - Keigan

Keigan, please in my previous comment I did include the reference numbers about my dispute towards Tesco Bank but now I can't see these reference numbers in there.

Were these intentionally deleted or there was an error?

Shall I send them again?

I'm afraid we haven't received a private message from you, @donecek333. All we need is your full name, DOB and postcode in order for us to have a look into this. Any long numbers you send will be automatically deleted by our system as a security precaution as we don't advise sending account numbers on this channel - Caroline

I am undergoing some financial issues in terms of debt and I have little job security at the moment. Am I able to withdraw from my Fixed Rate Saver (it is due to mature next month)

Hi @willmatthews20, I'm afraid you would only be able to withdraw the money from the account in exceptional circumstances. These include death, diagnosis of a terminal illness or, bankruptcy, insolvency or sequestration. I'm sorry if this wasn't the answer you were looking for.
