I’m experiencing financial difficulty and need to reduce my payments. What should I do?

We are here to support you when things get difficult with your finances. It’s helpful if we can discuss your circumstances to work out what’s the best solution for you.

We will usually complete a budgeting form with you to understand your financial circumstances. This is a list of all of your incomings and outgoings. It is helpful to have an idea of these before you call us to make things easier. The best way to do this is to go through some recent bank statements and bills. We will complete the form to show all of the money you have coming in and everything you need to pay out each month. We will also include any other creditors that you have in this.

When we have completed the form we will then have an idea of your affordability and what you can realistically afford to pay towards your product with us each month.

Hi, im having difficulties with keeping up with payments. i'm already behind and suffer with depression and anxiety and really struggle to talk with people. its even worse when i know how bad the situation im in is. i only work part time and have a little boy to look after too, every time my phone rings i feel sick because i know what you want but i just cant believe ive ot myself in this situation. what can i do

I was made redundant on Monday and have very quickly had to contact all my creditors, there are many and asked for an easier payment plan. I was told by the Citizens Advice (National Debt Line) that i should tell all of my change of circumstances. I always have had perfect credit and never worried about borrowing but i also have never been out of work til this week.


I don't what to default, i have cancelled my direct debit however but until i find another job, hopefully soon i would like to request a payment holiday firstly and negotiate then a minimum payment option, even if the terms of the loan change to a longer period.
