How much do I pay for cash advances on a Tesco Bank Credit Card?

If you obtain cash or a cash substitute using your Tesco Bank Credit Card or your card number, it's called a cash advance. Examples include withdrawal from an ATM, over the counter, gambling and electronic transfers (other than a balance transfer or money transfer).

There is a 3% fee on the cash amount you withdraw (minimum charge of £3.00) excluding gambling transactions. For more information on our APR and interest rates please refer to the Summary Box which can be found on the back of your credit card monthly statement or the Terms and Conditions that you received with your Tesco Bank Credit Card.

Please remember that fees apply when using your credit card overseas.

Izzynan

Hi

been trying to get throught to customer services to ask about the interest charge on my account, no luck. Is there any way I can find out why I have been charges 9p for cash advance, I haven't used card abroad or an Atm so am confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou

Hi @Izzynan, I’m sorry you’re having trouble speaking with one of my colleagues. I’m afraid I can’t confirm specific transactions without confirming security on the phone but cash advance interest would be charged for any charity donations or gambling transactions, including tickets for the lottery. I hope this helps!

Carwynsdaddy

My Tesco Credit Card app stopped working a couple of weeks ago and recommended that I log-in via internet banking in order to continue using the app in the future. I have just got around to logging in via internet banking at which point I needed to specify that I had forgotten both my security number and password (again recommended by internet banking). I re-entered the answers to my security questions but was advised "Sorry we couldn't complete your request with the details you provided."

All my details are correct i.e. name, DOB, postcode and card number, what can the problem be?

Thanks

Hi @Carwynsdaddy, I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues whilst logging in online. Please send a private message to our @CET account with your DOB and postcode. When sending your personal details please ensure you leave a space between each of the characters and we'll look to get you back online as soon as we can.
