How do I transfer money to my bank account?

You can arrange a money transfer by heading to the ‘Account Management’ section of our Mobile App or by logging in to Online Banking.

You can borrow up to 95% of your available credit limit and the money will be in your bank account within 1 - 2 working days. The fee you pay will depend on your card's terms and conditions, but it's normally a percentage of the amount that you want to transfer. Please note that your available credit will not take in to account any interest that is due to be applied to your account so please ensure there is sufficient funds left to cover this.


Had a refund that put my credit card into credit.

Made a cash transfer early tuesday - had confirmation email but wednesday evening & nothing seems to be happening.

As my card account was in credit will I still be charged fees for the transfer?

Hi @deejay2102, thanks for getting in touch. It can take up to 2 working days for a money transfer to go through, so you should see this credit at the close of business tomorrow at the latest. Sometimes there are automatic fees applied for making the transfer, however this is automatically refunded within 7-10 working days. If you still see the fee on the account after this, just get back in touch with us. I hope this helps. 

hi. i am trying to transfer a balance to my tesco credit card from a mbna credit card, but i keep getting a message saying i am not allowed to transfer from this card? any idea why? i am unable to talk to anyone in tesco bank

I have a large refund on my credit card that has given me a large credit balance. I would like to transfer the money into my bank account. However doing this online would seem to incur a very hefty fee for doing so. Is this the only way? Or is there a more customer friendly way of moving a credit balance?

Hi @Finchlion If you have a credit balance on your account, you can request a refund for your exact credit balance on your account as a money transfer. You can do this through online banking or the mobile app. Please note, you can only request a money transfer to move the amount of funds you are in credit by and not the amount refunded to you by the merchant. For example, if you received a refund of £300 yet are in credit of £200 (showing as -£200), please only transfer the £200. When we process this type of refund sometimes a money transfer fee will be applied in error. If you see this appear via online banking or the mobile app then don’t be alarmed. If you’ve only transferred the exact amount you are in credit by, we'll automatically refund this fee within 7-10 working days.
