How do I manage my alerts for my credit card account?

To manage your alerts, log in to Online Banking, click on your account and then select 'Manage account' on the right hand side.

Please ensure your email and mobile number are up to date. You can find them under 'Settings' and 'Personal details'.

Once you’ve checked your contact details, select 'Alerts' from the left hand side menu and then 'Set up and manage alerts'.

You can choose types of alerts you want to receive and set the method of communication to email, text message or both, and switch off any alerts you don’t want to receive.

To learn more about the different types of alerts you can view:

To receive alerts by text message, you’ll need to set up a text message password. This text message password is different from your Online Banking password, and it will be displayed at the start of your alerts so it’s personal to you and you know that it’s from Tesco Bank. You can find this under Setup and manage alerts in Online Banking.

Once you’ve set up your preferences, click 'Submit' at the bottom of the page.

Hi - I thought I had paid my credit card bill. I have never missed a payment in over a decade - or since I opened my account. I must not have hit "confirm" on final page of my online bank. I noted that I had paid it on the bill, as I thought the transaction had gone through. Please look at my history and you will see I am a very prompt payer. I have been charged a £12 fee and £1.36 interest. Is there any way I can obtain a refund due to it being a genuine oversight on my part at not hitting "confirm" on my banking page. Many thanks, D King.

Hi @donald856, I'm sorry to hear about this. So that I can look into this, could you message me at @Tesco-Bank confirming your full name, DOB and postcode along with your payment due date and your credit limit please? - Ainsley

I changed my email address recently.  The settings in personal details all now show the new email address except that statement alerts are still being sent to the old email address.  On the 'Set up and manage alerts' page is shows the old email address and says to change this go to Manage Your Account.  In Manage Your Account it says to change personal details go to My Overview, Settings, Personal Details, but on this page the new email is already showing correctly.

What can I do to update the alerts email address?

HI @JM_sunshine, I've included a link below which will confirm how to make these changes online - Keigan

Re: How do I update my address, email and phone number for my credit card online?

Thank you Keigan, but that's exactly the process I've gone through.  The email address is correct on the personal details page, however it's still showing as the old email on the manage alerts page and it's there that I cannot change it. Any ideas?

I'm sorry about this. If you give our Online Helpdesk a quick call on  0345 300 3511 (Mon - Sun: 8am - 7:30pm) they'll be able to take a closer look into this - Keigan

Payment is showing it has left my bank but not showing as paid on my Tesco Credit Card.  How long should this take?

Hi @Euphonium1, thanks for getting in touch. Any Faster Payments can take up to 24 hours, and any debit card payments can take up to 2 working days to process. Hope this helps!
