How do I activate my Tesco Bank Credit Card?

If you are the primary card holder you can activate your card via the Mobile Banking App, or by calling us on 0345 072 9072* (Minicom 0345 671 0676*). If there are additional card holders on the account then this will also activate their cards.

 

You will be asked to enter your 16 digit credit card number so please have this with you when you call. If you’ve registered for Online Banking you will also need to enter selected digits from your Security Number.

 

*This number may be included as part of any inclusive call minutes provided by your phone operator.

You can activate your credit card by logging into the mobile banking app which can be downloaded via the App Store or Play Store depending on your device. You must be registered for Online Banking on tescobank.com. Alternatively you can call 0345 300 4278 to activate by telephone. Advisors are available 24/7.

Hi @Eaglelodge45, if you are out of the country, you can call us on our International number to activate your card. You can reach us on +441268 058 027, or you can do this through the app.

 

@Tammy2 please follow the instructions at the top of this page, in order to activate your card.

How long after receiving pin will i receive my credit card as i need to set my online banking again and i need to put in the long card number to setup login again.

Hi @Abid1412,

 

We would expect your PIN to arrive first as the card and PIN are sent separately for your security so please don't worry. The PIN takes between 3-6 business days whereas the actual credit card itself takes 5-8 business days, so the card should arrive for you both a few days after you receive the PIN.

 

If you think it's already surpassed the 8 business days and your card has still not arrived then you can call our team and we will get this cancelled and have a new one issued out to you. Please note if it's still within timescales we won't send another card until after the 8 business days as you will most likely receive the card within this time.
