Clubcard Plus has not been available to new customers since 2009, having been launched in 1997. Since that time, developments in payment card technology have taken place allowing people to pay more securely and in more places.
Our current account, which has these improved features, allows customers to continue to collect Clubcard points as they spend. As a result, we have decided to simplify the number of accounts we offer and close all Clubcard Plus accounts.
Outbound (Take money out of your Clubcard Plus account to fund another account) These will automatically stop on closure.
Inbound (Fund your Clubcard Plus account from another account) You will need to advise the sender of these payments to stop and send to a different account. If you take no action, Tesco Bank will receive the payment and return to the remitter.
Inbound Tesco Bank will stop requesting funds from the account that is linked for funding on closure.
Clubcard Plus accounts will close on either 13 October or 6 November, dependant on when you received your notification.

You can pay money into your account to repay a debit balance using the normal methods.
