Clubcard Plus: Accounts will close from 13 October

Standing Orders   Outbound (Take money out of your Clubcard Plus account to fund another account) These will automatically stop on closure. Inbound (Fund your Clubcard Plus account from another account) You will need to advise the sender of these payments to stop and send to a different account. If you take no action, Tesco Bank will receive the payment and return to the remitter. Direct Debits   Inbound Tesco Bank will stop requesting funds from the account that is linked for funding on closure.

Clubcard Plus has not been available to new customers since 2009, having been launched in 1997. Since that time, developments in payment card technology have taken place allowing people to pay more securely and in more places.   Our current account, which has these improved features, allows customers to continue to collect Clubcard points as they spend. As a result, we have decided to simplify the number of accounts we offer and close all Clubcard Plus accounts.

Clubcard Plus accounts will close on either 13 October or 6 November, dependant on when you received your notification.   If you are unsure of when your account is closing, please refer to the letter we sent you. If you are still unsure, please contact us on 0345 835 6291*   *This number may be included as part of any inclusive call minutes provided by your phone operator.

If you have any money remaining in your account after closure, we will send you a cheque for the full amount including any interest owed.

From 28 July 2017, you will no longer be able to pay any of your salary into your Clubcard Plus account. This process will stop automatically and your pay will be redirected to your primary account.

Yes. If Clubcard Plus is your only Clubcard, you will be issued a new Clubcard number prior to closure.

Clubcard points accrued on your Clubcard Plus account will be transferred to your existing or new Clubcard account.
