Hi
The type of card you have shouldn't have any impact on contactless payments as they can take a maximum of 7 days to show on your account. It will, however, affect your available balance when the retailer make us aware that they're taking funds for the contactless transaction. At any point over the 7 days the funds can be deducted from your available balance, which is totally up to the retailer. I hope this helps!

Hi Pegerton, The current monetary limit for contactless is £30 per transaction, however this will increase to £45 on Wednesday 1st April. There is no limit to the amount of contactless payments you can make in a single day but there is a caveat to this meaning your bank may intervene.

I'm led to believe you are able to make five contactless transactions in succession before you are required to enter your card and confirm your PIN-I believe this is down to the recent EU regulations that have been brought in surrounding making payments much safer e.g. text message verification when shopping online.

Morning There is no daily cap on the number of individual transactions you can make (each up to £45), but occasionally, as an extra security measure, you’ll be asked to enter your PIN to verify you are the account holder. This is to double-check that it's you who's in possession of your card.
