Yesterday I received a new Credit Card - with no Contactless symbol. Hooray !
I hope this is genuine - and the card isn't hiding its contactless nature.....๐
For those not familiar with the arguments against contactless....
i) Money can be taken without the approval of the holder.
With PIN, the holder has to authorise payment explicitly.
Maybe Cards can be scanned and cloned - maybe not.
But we DO know that Transport for London warns against "card clash".
Some of us have lost our contactless card - which has then been used unlawfully by the finder - twice.
ii) Refunds are usually given - but understandably, the issuer wants to go through some checks - 20 minutes and more on the phone.....
โโโโโโโHow much time is saved by contactless ? 2 seconds ? 3 seconds ?
Is the time-saving reallly worth it ?????
But hey, as long as people have a choice again, that's the main thing.
Do you need some help?

Hi Tarian, thanks for getting in touch. The contactless symbol is now on the back of the card and does have this facility, I'm afraid. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused - Keigan

I never take mine out of my wallet, i've added as payment card to the wallet on my iPhone and it works brilliantly.
The Tesco Pay+ app is really cool too, it automatically collects Clubcard points when you pay in Tesco stores or petrol stations !
Here's the link for you to take a look at, much recommended !

Sorry, but not sure how relevant that was.๐คจ
I'm sure CSKB was well-intended..... ๐ค
.....But why is it so often assumed that everyone has an iPhone ?
Sorry, but some of us are not interested in whether an app is "cool".
All we want is functionality and security - not a dumbed-down programme and a tiny screen.
If people read the Ts & Cs on some mobile phones and realised how much tracking the likes of Samsung force phone owners to "agree" to, they might have second thoughts about banking via mobile phone.
In any case the Tesco CC " automatically collects Clubcard points when you pay in Tesco stores or petrol stations "!
No, I'm not a technophobe. ๐
I've used the internet for 25 years ... and now use Linux.
Choice is all we ask for.
