Good morning Ross,
I've downloaded the Tesco Groceries app but unfortunately it would appear Clubcard Pay+ isn't available to me yet?
When the chance to apply for it comes I look forward to being able to top up my card when we get paid every four weeks and using that to budget my food shopping-that's what has attracted me to make an application when I'm able to do so.
Now the prepaid card option is being withdrawn from Pay+ perhaps this can be communicated with those customers? Am sure it's something they'd be interested in, especially with the double points offer. -

Hey @heanor_man_34, will pass your comments to the team. Clubcard Pay+ isn't available to all customers yet but keep an eye on the app for updates and I will share more information via this board when I can :)

Thanks @RossM. It's something I'd like to be able to use. -

Hi,
Do we know what further offers may be coming down the line for Clubcard Pay+? Something for summer perhaps?

@RossM
Application went smoothly and very straight forward.
Double Clubcard for the first 3 months is great, but not sure if i made right decision getting Clubcard Pay+ because after the first 3 months you revert back to 1 point for every £1 spent at Tesco, where as if i paid for my shopping with my Tesco Credit Card i also would also get an extra 1 point for every £4 spent at Tesco, but with Clubcard Pay+ you won't. -

This is great to hear that the application process was smooth! Have you used Clubcard Pay+ for a shop as of yet?
This is great feedback that I will pass on to the Clubcard Pay+ team, you are correct that after the initial 3 months you may get more points if you use your Tesco Bank Credit Card (if you have one), but Clubcard Pay+ does also offer additional benefits including being able to see all your grocery spending in one place and when you spend using your Clubcard Pay+ debit card, we’ll round up the amount to the nearest pound and save the change in your Round Up Savings Account. -

Hi Ross are you able to help please? I have my Clubcard pay+ card but can’t see where in the Tesco Bank App that I register it?
thanks -

Hi @Lparker, thanks for getting in touch. Could you please send us a private message to @Tesco-Bank and we can look into this for you?

Hey @Lparker just wanted to see if you got everything sorted? I noticed you mentioned me but I never got a notification. To mention someone in the community, type @ just before their names. The member you've mentioned will then get a notification to say you have tagged them :)

Hello @RossM,
Out of interest is the Clubcard Pay+ Visa Debit card capable of offline transactions e.g. pay at pump?
Many thanks. -
17-05-21, 11:23RossM
Hey @chaddman30, good question! Our Clubcard Pay+ debit card does require the merchant to check if you have enough money to pay for the transaction (i.e. an online transaction) when you purchase goods in most scenarios. However, because we felt it was important to be able to pay for your petrol using Clubcard Pay+ we have enabled the card to allow one Pay@Pump transaction per day.

Hi @RossM. I applied for Clubcard Pay+ today and was pleasantly surprised at how smooth and fast the sign up process was. One thing I'd like to know while I wait for my card in the post is whether Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported? Now more than ever mobile payment is undeniably valuable since contactless needs to be authorised using chip and pin every so often and when spending over a certain amount, and also lacks the biometric security of Apple and Google Pay.

@lion You would receive the general points (1 point per pound spent in Tesco), but no additional points would be given if using Curve as the transaction would go through as a Curve Transaction rather than that Clubcard Pay+.

@RossM, it is very disappointing that Tesco only give the benefits of the new card to people who carry and use the physical card. Many of us, especially younger people (though I am 67 myself!) have grown out of the habit of carrying cards. Instead, we prefer paying with Apple/Google/GarminPay, on our phones or on our smartwatches. This preference has accelerated with the pandemic.

Agreed here, even just supporting the two main payment platforms of Apple & Google Pay will be better than either only Apple or none at all.
The annoyance is eased with Pay+ and then anything outside of Tesco I process all my payments through Curve with Tesco as the underlying. It's annoying to have to use a seperate payment processor but needs must I suppose... -

@lion Clubcard Pay+ can be used with Pay+ as a digital wallet if that helps? I posted the below in another thread but will also post here so people can see it :)
Your Clubcard Pay+ debit card can be used in Tesco Pay+ and you will be able to collect double Clubcard points for the first three months.
Clubcard Pay+ doesn’t replace Tesco Pay+, Tesco Pay+ allows you to use your Clubcard Pay+ card via a digital wallet and continue to collect Clubcard points easily. -

That's very welcome news, thank you, @RossM -

@RossM, I have actually been able to add my Clubcard Pay+ to my phone and watch ApplePay just now; it took just seconds. Appreciate that we may not get any Clubcard points at all when using ApplePay though it would be great if that would work, too. -

Hi @RossM
no I’m still not sorted I made a call to the number given and then said it can take a while but I still can’t see anything different in my Tesco current account to enable me to move shopping money etc so I’ve given up. Though oddly I noticed my Tesco debit card seems to be acting as my colleague card now. I normally need to swipe my colleague card to get discount and it seems automatic now 🧐 -

@Lparker Can you send us a private message to @Tesco-Bank (Click the link and a message window will launch) so we can look into this?

Hi
This is my first post.
I have been trying to use the app and each time I get stuck at the same point, I don’t get the One Time Access Code sent to me. Is anyone else having this problem? By the way I am trying to upload a screen shot of the message on my phone but i can’t get this facility to work.
Thanks -
24-06-21, 13:10RossM
Hey @Tigerlily, can I check if you're number on the account is up to date? This is possibly why you are not getting the One Time Access Code. Can you send a message @Tesco-Bank (Click the link and a message window will launch) so we can look into this?

Quick and easy sign up process. I love that I can kid it up at pay day to help me budget for the top-up shops that are needed through the month. I also love that you can use it in any shop as I have a Sainsbury’s right by my office so often go there to get bits during my lunch break. App seems to work well as well as the balance peek on the Apple Watch so I can check what I have left quickly and easily before I shop

@Zagz Glad to hear you are enjoying Clubcard Pay+. Are there any features you wish it has? keen to gather feedback on things our Community would love to see introduced.
-

@RossM it would be great if they could make a balance warning so when you get to only £10/20 balance left it warns you in case you’ve lost track or haven’t looked at your balance for a while

@Zagz out of interest, what suggestion would you have for providing the warning? In the app? Email or any other suggestions?
-

@RossM a notification through the app would be good

'Anyone else have anything they would like to propose?'
Yes. I use Money Dashboard to keep all my accounts in one place. I can connect it my Tesco Mastercard so all transactions appear automatically in Money Dashboard, but I can't connect it to my Clubcard Pay+ account.
This means I have to manually enter Clubcard Pay+ transactions.
Any chance of a full connection in the future?
Many thanks. -

Thanks for the welcome. I had a bit of trouble getting in for a few days but fine now. I have been using my card now for a few days, find it very convenient jusy having to take the one card with me to work as do most my shopping when at work. The only thing I don't like is having to wait days for the extra points having to keep receipts to check on points. It is also handy to use the card in other places.

Hey just an update on this. This is now a feature of Clubcard Pay+. All you would need to do is ensure that push notifications are switched on and then you can select 'low balance notification' and you can set the notification at an amount of your choosing. If any users need help with this, tag me and I can help :) -

I'm actually having a nightmare with clubcard pay.
it's not working on Tesco groceries. No way of removing the money, and I need to check out tonight to pay for my food shop that is coming tomorrow! A warning would be nice. -
05-02-22, 10:24KellyT
Hi @Hodges123, did you manage to get this sorted? If not, can you please let me know a little bit more about the issue you're having when trying to complete the purchase? You can transfer funds out of your Clubcard Pay+ account in the mobile app by selecting 'Move money' > 'Make a payment' > 'Add a new payee.'

I can't even apply as the Apply Now button isn't working.

Hi @rozminis, can you please try this on a different browser or device if possible?
