• If I change my mind about Tesco Bank Pet Insurance, can I cancel the cover?

    If you change your mind for any reason, you can cancel the policy within 14 days of the cover starting. This is called the 'cooling off period'. If you cancel in the cooling off period, you will receive a full refund for any payments you've already made, provided you haven't made a claim.

    After the cooling off period, you can still cancel your policy at any time and there are no cancellation fees.

      Still waiting for my refund after cancelling. But had no confirmation emails or anything but were quick enough to take my money absolute joke will probably have to call in dept enforcement soon

      I want to cancel my insurance, I have tried to phone was on hold for so long I gave up, I emailed within the 14 day period to say I want to cancel and haven't had a reply, I've sent a second email with the first email attached to it and yet again haven't had a reply? So if I can't get an answer on the phone or by email what else am i meant to do?

      Really sorry to hear this @RyanEvans82. We don't have access to Pet Insurance accounts here, I'm afraid, as they are arranged, underwritten and administered by Royal & Sun Alliance. We are only able to direct you to them for any queries. I appreciate they are very busy at the moment but they will reply as soon as they can. Apologies for any inconvenience.

      Hi there. The policy is under my husbands name so when I first phoned Tesco Pet insurance to update our change of address, the woman I spoke to said she couldn't talk to me, It would have to be my husband, however he could email tesco.petinsurance@uk.rsagroup.com to change the address of our pet and add me on as joint policy holder.
      He had no reply and that was the 4th March.
      ​​​​​​​He then tried to call yesterday on a day off of work to query our renewal price and still, try and change our new address, when we finally got through to someone after being on hold.. They said they couldn't hear us and therefore had to hang up. He called straight back, on hold - again, to then be told we would have to call another day because of technical difficulties no one could help us. My husband works full time and it's not easy for him to make phone calls at work and we explained just the hassle we have been through to contact someone 4x just to update our new address, and no response from our email 4th March we wanted to now cancel our policy all together with frustration and poor customer service, he would be best emailing. So he then emailed after both calls yesterday, and still we have had no response. We have decided to cancel our policy which renewed begining of February. Can someone please respond to my husbands email. The policy number is RSAP8385887200. I understand with COVID_19 hold times can be long, and delays in reply, but COVID_19 has been going on for a whole year now and shouldn't really be the excuse for poor customer service. After 2 emails and 4 phone calls, if this still is not resolved we will be forced to cancel our direct debit.
