Do you need some help?
In which cases do I need to tell you about the individual value of my home contents? You only need specify contents if they are 'valuables' and are worth more than the limits below. 'Valuables' include watches, jewellery, furs, items or collections of gold, silver or other precious metals, works of art, sets of stamps, coins or medals.
The Value policy automatically covers single items up to £1,500 each when in the home.
The Standard policy automatically covers single items up to £2,000 each when in the home.
The Finest policy automatically covers single items up to £3,000 each when in the home.
For policies taken out after May 2013, the overall limit applies: 1-2 bedrooms £10,000, 3-4 bedrooms £15,000, 5-6 bedrooms £20,000. If your contents sum insured is over £75,000 then your valuables limit is 30% of the total sum insured. This also applies to any customers who previously held Value or Standard policies and have recently been moved over to our latest Home insurance product from June 2020 onwards.
If you need to specify an item, please refer to our existing FAQ on how to do this - With Tesco Bank Home Insurance, when do I need to specify an individual item? If the total of your unspecified valuables amount to more than 30% of your total contents sum insured please contact us to discuss.
