• Can I appeal the loan decision?

    Yes. If you do not agree with the decision that we have made on your application you have the right to appeal. You should support your appeal by providing any additional relevant information that was not taken into account at the time of our original decision, such as;
    • details of any missed income that may impact whether you can afford the loan
    • change in your credit score or incorrect information being removed from your credit file

    Send your appeal to: Tesco Bank, Loans Decision Review Team, Broadway 1, 199 Renfield St, Glasgow, G2 9FE. Please note it can take 5 - 7 days to review once your documents are received.

      I applied for a loan via the Tesco website a week ago. The site stated after completing the application, that I would receive a response within 2 working days - I still haven’t received any decisions via email or text, telephone call etc.

      However, I did receive a survey email asking me to complete how I found completing the application and was i advised why the loan had been declined? (I didn’t know it had been declined)

      The loan I applied for suggested I had over 90% chance of being accepted, I also have an excelled credit rating according to Experian.

      Please can someone send me the decision I haven’t received?
